Carolina Sunset
Bourbon · Hibiscus · Lime · Honey Ginger
A nod from Philly to Charlotte — Southern bourbon meets tropical hibiscus, finished with a sunset-pink float.
Ingredients
- ●2 oz Black-owned bourbon (we love Brough Brothers)
- ●1 oz fresh hibiscus tea, chilled
- ●0.75 oz fresh lime juice
- ●0.5 oz honey-ginger syrup
- ●Dash of orange bitters
- ●Edible orchid & dehydrated pineapple
Method
- 1Add bourbon, lime, honey-ginger syrup, and bitters to a shaker with ice.
- 2Shake until well chilled, about 12 seconds.
- 3Double-strain into a chilled coupe.
- 4Slowly float the chilled hibiscus tea over the back of a bar spoon for a sunset gradient.
- 5Garnish with an orchid and pineapple. Serve immediately.
